VAT number: 930265160MVA
Business address: Kvithammarn 3, 9414 Harstad

The terms “SparkExtension”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business identified above.

SparkExtension.com offers this website, including its information, products, features and related services, to you subject to these Terms of Service.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to offer our products to you.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SparkExtension.com and purchases made through our store.

By using the website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies referenced in them, including our:

  • Privacy Policy

  • Return and Refund Policy

  • Shipping Policy

  • Legal Notice

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the website or place an order.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted to consumers under mandatory applicable law.

If there is a conflict between these Terms, information shown during checkout and a specific written agreement between you and us, the specifically agreed terms will apply, provided that they do not conflict with mandatory law.

3. Consumers and Business Customers

A consumer is a natural person purchasing primarily for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.

Mandatory consumer-protection rights apply only where the customer qualifies as a consumer under applicable law.

Purchases made primarily for a workshop, dealership, repair business or other commercial activity may be treated as business purchases. Statutory consumer withdrawal rights may not apply to business purchases unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

4. Age and Legal Capacity

You must have the legal capacity required to enter into a binding purchase agreement.

If you are under 18 years of age, you may only place an order with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian and where the purchase is otherwise permitted by applicable law.

You may not use the website or place an order for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

5. Customer Information and Accounts

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when using the store or placing an order, including your:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Billing information

  • Payment information

  • Delivery address

  • Telephone number where requested

You are responsible for checking that your delivery address and contact details are correct before submitting an order.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.

Please contact us promptly if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation.

We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary because of suspected fraud, unlawful activity, security concerns or a material breach of these Terms.

6. Products and Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, compatibility information, images and prices are accurate.

Product photographs are provided for illustration and product-identification purposes. Minor differences in colour, labelling, cable routing, packaging or appearance may occur without affecting the product’s intended function.

Product descriptions and availability may be updated without prior notice.

We may discontinue products or limit available quantities where reasonably necessary.

Any material product change will not apply to an order that has already been accepted unless agreed with the customer or required for legal or safety reasons.

7. Product Compatibility

Customers must review the listed compatibility information before ordering.

Sea-Doo model names, electrical configurations and connector arrangements may vary between model years, production dates and markets.

Before ordering, you should compare:

  • The model and model year of your watercraft

  • The original connector

  • The connector shown in our product photographs

  • The number of connector positions

  • Any information shown in the compatibility list

If you are uncertain, contact us before ordering and provide the exact model, model year and a clear photograph of the original connector.

A product is not defective solely because it was ordered for an incompatible model where the product itself was accurately described and supplied as ordered.

This does not affect any statutory right of withdrawal that may apply or any rights relating to inaccurate product information.

8. Aftermarket Product Status

Products sold through SparkExtension.com are independently manufactured aftermarket products unless expressly identified as genuine original-equipment products.

SparkExtension.com is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by BRP Inc., Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. or Sea-Doo.

Sea-Doo, Spark, Spark Trixx, DESS, iBR, VTS and other manufacturer or product names are trademarks or registered trademarks belonging to their respective owners.

These names are used solely to describe product compatibility and intended application.

9. Orders and Formation of the Purchase Agreement

When you submit an order, you are requesting to purchase the products listed in your order.

You are responsible for reviewing the product, quantity, price, shipping method and delivery address before completing checkout.

After an order is submitted, we will normally send an electronic order confirmation.

The purchase agreement consists of:

  • These Terms of Service

  • The product information presented before purchase

  • The information shown during checkout

  • The order confirmation

  • Any separately agreed written terms

We may contact you if we require additional information to process the order.

We may cancel or refuse an order where there is a legitimate reason, including:

  • The product is unavailable

  • Payment cannot be authorised

  • Fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected

  • Delivery to the specified destination is unavailable

  • The order violates applicable law

  • There is an obvious pricing or product-information error that you knew or reasonably should have recognised

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the applicable amount.

An automated order acknowledgment does not prevent us from correcting an obvious error where permitted by law.

10. Order Changes and Cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.

We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled after it has entered processing or has been dispatched.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, you may still exercise that right in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

Refusing delivery or failing to collect a parcel does not by itself constitute a clear exercise of the right of withdrawal. You must notify us that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.

11. Prices, Taxes and Charges

The product price applicable to your order is the price displayed during checkout when the order is placed.

The total amount payable will be displayed before you complete the purchase and may include:

  • Product price

  • Applicable VAT or sales tax

  • Shipping charges

  • Other charges disclosed before purchase

Prices and promotions may change without notice, but price changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted.

For international orders, import VAT, customs duties, carrier handling fees and other local charges may apply unless they are expressly included during checkout.

The customer is responsible for import charges imposed by the destination country where these charges have not been collected by us during checkout.

We do not control the amount of customs duties, import VAT or local carrier fees.

12. Payment

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.

Payment services may be provided by Shopify Payments or other third-party payment providers.

You confirm that:

  • You are authorised to use the selected payment method

  • The payment information supplied is accurate

  • Sufficient funds or credit are available

  • The transaction is lawful

Payment may be authorised when the order is placed and captured according to the selected payment provider’s procedures.

If payment cannot be completed or is reversed, we may suspend processing or cancel the order.

We do not normally receive or store complete payment-card details. Payment information is processed by the applicable payment provider.

13. Shipping and Delivery

Orders are shipped from Norway.

Processing times and estimated delivery periods are described in our Shipping Policy and may also be displayed during checkout.

Delivery times are estimates unless a guaranteed delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing.

Carrier delays, customs processing, weather conditions, public holidays and other circumstances may affect delivery.

If delivery is delayed, we may ask the customer to allow a reasonable additional delivery period while the carrier completes delivery or investigates the shipment.

If the order is still not delivered within an applicable agreed or reasonable additional period, the customer may have rights under mandatory law.

For consumer purchases, responsibility for loss or damage normally remains with us until the product has been physically received by the customer or a person designated by the customer, subject to applicable law.

Further information about delayed, lost, unclaimed and damaged shipments is provided in our Shipping Policy.

14. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

Consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase within the period required by applicable law.

We do not provide a voluntary change-of-mind return period beyond the mandatory statutory period unless expressly stated.

The procedure for exercising the right of withdrawal, return-shipping responsibility, product inspection and permitted deductions for loss of value are described in our Return and Refund Policy.

Opening packaging does not automatically remove a statutory right of withdrawal.

However, if a product has been installed, electrically connected, operated, modified, contaminated or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may make a deduction corresponding to the actual reduction in value where permitted by law.

Customers must notify us clearly if they wish to exercise a right of withdrawal.

15. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Contact us at business@jhansen.no if:

  • You receive the wrong product

  • Parts are missing

  • The product was damaged during shipping

  • The product does not correspond with the order

  • You believe the product has a manufacturing defect

Include your order number, a description of the issue and clear photographs where relevant.

Claims concerning defective products are handled separately from change-of-mind returns.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory rights relating to defective goods, repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation or compensation.

The following will not normally constitute a manufacturing defect:

  • Incorrect installation

  • Ordering an incompatible product despite accurate compatibility information

  • Damage to pins, seals, locks or connectors caused during installation

  • Cutting, soldering or modification

  • Water, salt, oil, fuel or chemical contamination after delivery

  • Misuse or operation contrary to instructions

  • Normal wear

  • Damage caused by another defective component in the watercraft

Each claim will be assessed based on its circumstances and applicable law.

16. Product Installation and Safety

Our maintenance extension cables are intended for maintenance, servicing, diagnostics and workshop testing.

Operating a watercraft with the upper deck or body panels removed may expose:

  • Moving components

  • Electrical systems

  • Hot engine and exhaust components

  • Fuel systems

  • Pressurised systems

  • Sharp edges

You are responsible for following appropriate safety procedures and the watercraft manufacturer’s service instructions.

The product must be kept away from moving parts, hot surfaces, water, fuel and other potential sources of damage.

Do not operate or ride the watercraft on the water with the upper deck removed.

When running an engine outside the water, use the correct cooling-water procedure specified by the watercraft manufacturer.

Installation, inspection and testing should be performed by a competent person. Contact a qualified technician if you are uncertain about the procedure.

These safety requirements do not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded.

17. No Additional Commercial Warranty

Unless expressly stated on the product page or in writing, we do not provide a separate commercial warranty in addition to the customer’s statutory rights.

Descriptions of expected performance are based on intended use under appropriate conditions and are not a guarantee against damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification or external conditions.

Mandatory statutory guarantees and consumer rights remain unaffected.

18. Website Availability and Accuracy

We may update, modify, suspend or remove website content, products or features where reasonably necessary.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available without interruptions, maintenance periods or technical errors.

Occasionally, website information may contain typographical errors, inaccurate availability information or obvious pricing mistakes.

We may correct errors and update information where reasonably necessary.

If an error materially affects an order, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate solution, which may include cancellation and a refund.

19. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including:

  • Shopify

  • Payment providers

  • Shipping carriers

  • Analytics providers

  • Social-media services

  • External websites

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for external content or services that we do not own or control.

This does not remove our responsibility for services or providers we use to fulfil our obligations to customers where applicable law makes us responsible.

20. Relationship with Shopify

SparkExtension.com is powered by Shopify, which provides the technical e-commerce platform used to operate the store.

Any product purchase made through SparkExtension.com is made directly between the customer and SparkExtension, not between the customer and Shopify.

Shopify is not the seller, manufacturer or supplier of products offered through SparkExtension.com.

Shopify may process personal information and payment-related information as described in our Privacy Policy and Shopify’s applicable privacy documentation.

21. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the original content on SparkExtension.com, including our:

  • Product photographs

  • Original written descriptions

  • Graphics

  • Branding

  • Logo

  • Website design

  • Product documentation

is owned by or licensed to SparkExtension and is protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

You may access the website for personal and lawful business-purchasing purposes.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or commercially exploit our original content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party trademarks and manufacturer names remain the property of their respective owners.

22. Reviews, Messages and Feedback

If you submit a product review, photograph, suggestion or other content, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to submit it

  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • It does not violate another person’s rights

  • It is not unlawful, abusive, misleading or fraudulent

  • It does not contain malicious software

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free right to display, reproduce and use submitted reviews or feedback in connection with operating and promoting our store.

We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary because it is unlawful, irrelevant, fraudulent, abusive or violates these Terms.

We will not alter a review in a way that materially misrepresents the customer’s opinion.

23. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the website:

  • For unlawful or fraudulent purposes

  • To infringe intellectual-property rights

  • To transmit malware or harmful code

  • To interfere with the website’s security or operation

  • To collect personal information unlawfully

  • To impersonate another person

  • To submit false payment or delivery information

  • To scrape or copy website content for unauthorised commercial use

  • To send spam or unsolicited commercial messages

  • To attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the website or our legal rights.

24. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

In particular, nothing excludes liability for:

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Intentional misconduct

  • Gross negligence

  • Death or personal injury where liability cannot legally be excluded

  • Breach of mandatory consumer-protection law

  • Defective products where liability is imposed by mandatory law

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that:

  • Were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was entered into

  • Result from use contrary to product instructions

  • Result from unauthorised modification or incorrect installation

  • Are caused by incompatible or defective third-party equipment

  • Are business losses arising from a consumer purchase

For business customers, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost revenue, loss of production or loss of business opportunity unless otherwise required by mandatory law or expressly agreed in writing.

Customers must take reasonable steps to prevent and limit avoidable loss.

25. Events Outside Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, war, government restrictions, transport disruption, customs action, strikes, power failures or widespread technical outages.

We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of such events and resume performance when reasonably possible.

This section does not remove any mandatory right the customer may have if delivery or performance does not occur within an applicable deadline or reasonable additional period.

26. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Because the store is hosted by Shopify, information may be processed by Shopify and other service providers that help us operate the store, process payments, prevent fraud and deliver orders.

Please review our Privacy Policy for information about:

  • What personal information we collect

  • Why we collect it

  • Who it may be shared with

  • International data transfers

  • Data-retention periods

  • Your privacy rights

  • How to contact us about privacy

27. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the website where reasonably necessary because of:

  • Fraudulent activity

  • Unlawful use

  • Security threats

  • Serious or repeated breaches of these Terms

  • Attempts to interfere with the website or another customer

Termination of website access does not affect rights and obligations relating to an existing order unless the order is separately cancelled in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect, including provisions concerning intellectual property, payment obligations, liability and dispute resolution.

28. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will apply to the maximum extent permitted by law or be removed to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

29. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we waive the right to enforce it later.

Any waiver must be clear and applies only to the specific circumstances for which it was given.

30. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and purchases made through SparkExtension.com are governed by Norwegian law.

A consumer residing in another country retains any mandatory consumer protection provided by the law that applies to them and cannot validly be excluded by a choice-of-law clause.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve it.

If we cannot resolve the dispute directly, consumers may refer the matter to an applicable consumer dispute-resolution body or pursue any other remedy available under mandatory law.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from bringing a claim before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

31. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect:

  • Changes to our store or products

  • New services or payment methods

  • Changes in applicable law

  • Security or technical requirements

  • Clarifications or corrections

The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Changes will not retroactively reduce rights relating to an order already placed unless required by law or expressly agreed with the customer.

Your continued use of the website after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated website-use terms where permitted by law.
